In computer class, we learn how to code games. On Code.org, there are stages that we have to code to be able to move on to the next level. One game we code was Flappy Bird. When we coded Flappy Bird, we had many options to change it up. Flappy Bird was really easy and fun to code.
For the past week, in computer class, we have been working on Microsoft Excel and Google Spreadsheet. This photo, using Excel, shows my grades from quarter 1 all the way to quarter 3. This was pretty hard because of all the buttons and icons that was on Excel. Even though it was hard at first, I got the hang of it and it was a lot easier now. I look forward to doing more stuff on Microsoft Excel and Google Spreadsheet.
Geoguessr.com is a competition game that Mrs.Kanzler's seventh grade computer class plays. You have to try to get to the exact location that geoguessr gave you. In order to do that, you have to explore. Look at the street signs, cars, stores, houses, stores, electricity poles, etc. This game is very challenging and interesting because you have to look carefully.
On December 6, 2013 all the way through December 13, 2013, we learned how to code. We played angry birds and used codes to move it around to get to the pig. We learned how to write code and where each number means. This is a holiday card that I recently made from Khan Academy. I used varieties of code to make the tree, snow and snowman.
This is my meograph called "Kankou's hajj." After writing our hajj experience with Mansa Musa, we took our writing and made it into a meograph. The required elements were a journal entry, month and year, location, photo, and link. Each elements had to be related to the writing. After we finished out meograph, we sent it through the internet to our history teacher.
In Mrs. Kanzler's computer class, we took our Rome poem and turned it into a masterpiece. Not only that but we did learn quite a few things. We learned how to format it and give it a picture background. We also learned how to watermark our background if it was showing too much. After we finished with the poem, we printed it out and now it is hanging on the walls of our core classes.
This is typing web. In typing web, we type for 10 minutes and make sure that we have at least 15 wpm with 98% accuracy. At the end of every quarter, we take a typing test. It is for our final grade and it also tells us how much we improved or unimproved.
